The College is now looking to appoint an Area Facilities Manager to be responsible for estates and facilities management at our Mottingham and Crystal Palace Campuses. The successful candidate will report to the College’s Director of Estates and Facilities and will lead on all operational estates and facilities issues at our campuses in south London. They will be the lead on security measures at the site, including being a key holder and managing out of hours call outs, they will oversee all health and safety matters ensuring that staff, students and visitors are kept safe, they will lead on planned and reactive maintenance to plant, infrastructure and building fabric and will ensure that the appearance of the sites is maintained to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will experience managing multiple locations and remote teams in a facilities management capacity. They would have an excellent working knowledge of health and safety legislation, a good understanding of building fabric maintenance and repair and a good understanding of sustainability legislation, requirements and practices. They will have a positive approach and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with a range of stakeholders. A relevant qualification in facilities management or a technical subject would also be advantageous.
