An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a practical instructor who will support the teaching staff within the range of floristry and event styling courses.
Main responsibilities will include receiving, maintaining and preparing the equipment and fresh materials for classroom based practical activities as guided by the teacher. This is to include the safe return of all equipment to the store / fridge in a clean and satisfactory condition.
Supporting the provision with practical demonstrations and technical instruction to students in a wide range of floristry and event styling courses. Assist with the supervision of students to include study skills, work experience and volunteering particularly around peak periods of the industry. Assist with the assessment of students’ practical abilities. Ensuring that all requirements and regulations relating to health and safety are adhered to at all times. Ensure that the health and safety of students are maintained whilst undertaking practical sessions.

This position will primarily be based at our Gunnersbury campus. However, support may be required at our Enfield campus as needed, as determined by the head of department or team leader based on business requirements. This is a part-time role working 14.4 hours per week. The actual salary is £10,572 - £10,969.60.
